Welcome to DAB Fishing Guide Service!
We are a fishing guide service that offers fully guided fishing trips for Omaha and Eastern Nebraska area lakes. Our guide service focuses on having an enjoyable day full of catching fish while learning the secrets to catching them. We cater to anyone from the pure beginner to the extremely advanced fisherman. We fish the lakes of Eastern Nebraska for crappies, largemouth bass, and bluegills. Occasionally we catch walleyes, catfish, northern pike and any other species that bites!!!
Listing of lakes we most often fish:
Czechland Lake
Location: 1 mile North and 1/4-mile West of Prague, NE
We have found that Czechland is a very good lake. We have been very successful catching crappies, bass and bluegill. Because of the excellent numbers of panfish in the lake, I use Czechland often to help people learn how to catch fish through the ice. Most days ice fishing will produce catches in the hundreds.
Flanagan Lake
Location: 168th and Fort, Omaha, Ne
Flanagan opened in 2018. The lake has excellent numbers of crappie and bluegill along with a very good largemouth bass population and some northern pike.
Lake Cunningham
Location: State Street and 88th
Cunnigham was reopened in 2021. The fishing will be good starting in 2023. The lake should provide good fishing for bass, bluegill and saugeye for several years to come.
Lake Wanahoo
Location: 1/2-mile North of Wahoo, Ne
Wanahoo was a premier lake in the area for the first ten years after it opened. The severe flood of 2019 and influx of carp have been a very detrimental to the quality of fish at Wanahoo.
Prairie Queen Lake
Location: 132nd and Cornhusker Papillion, Ne
Prairie Queen opened in the spring of 2015. The lake was made with a tremendous amount of habitat. The lake has been one of the better overall lakes for multispecies catches in the metro area. Live bait is not allowed.
Summit Lake
Location: 4 and 1/2 miles West and 1/2-mile South of Tekamah, NE
One of the best all-around multi-species fishing lakes in the area. We typically catch bass, bluegill and crappie in great numbers with some very good-sized fish in the mix. Occasionally we will bump into a quality walleye or catfish.
Walnut Creek Lake
Location: 96th St and Highway 370, Papillion, NE
Walnut Creek is a nice little reservoir with a lot of crappies, bluegills, bass and a few quality redear sunfish. A very good smaller reservoir in the metro area.
Wildwood Lake
Location: 1 mile west and 1 and 1/2 miles North of Agnew, NE
Wildwood is currently one of the best fishing lakes in the area. Wildwood has been very productive for both numbers and quality of panfish along with some nice bass. Wildwood is a catch and release lake for catfish and has some very nice catfish in it. Live baitfish are not allowed in Wildwood.
Zorinsky Lake
Location: 156th and F Street Omaha, NE
The fishing in Zorinsky has improved since the lake was drained for zebra mussels. Along with the usual bass, crappie and bluegill, Zorinsky is the only metro lake with Muskie.
We enjoy fishing all lakes. If you have questions about another lake in the area, contact us.
