Welcome to DAB Fishing Guide Service!
We are a fishing guide service that offers fully guided fishing trips for Omaha and Eastern Nebraska area lakes. Our guide service focuses on having an enjoyable day full of catching fish while learning the secrets to catching them. We cater to anyone from the pure beginner to the extremely advanced fisherman. We fish the lakes of Eastern Nebraska for crappies, largemouth bass, and bluegills. Occasionally we catch walleyes, catfish, northern pike and any other species that bites!
Listing of lakes we most often fish:
Location: 1 mile North and 1/4 mile West of Prague, NE
We have found that Czechland is a very good lake. We have been very successful catching crappies, bass and bluegill. Because of the excellent numbers of panfish in the lake, I use Czechland often to help people learn how to catch fish through the ice. Most days ice fishing will produce catches in the hundreds.
Glenn Cunningham Lake
Location: 96th and State Street Omaha, NE
Cunningham has one of the higher populations of walleye and crappie in the area although the size structure is not always good. The lake is a good teaching lake for those that want to learn how to catch walleye.
Location: 1/2 mile North of Wahoo, Ne
Wanahoo opened in 2012. Wanahoo is proving to be an outstanding fishery. Excellent in quality and quantity although it is not always easy to get to the fish because of the thick timber. Live bait is not allowed on this lake and there is a 21 inch minimum size limit on the bass which we think will help maintain its status as an outstanding fishery for years to come.
Prairie Queen Lake
Location: 132nd and Cornhusker Papillion, Ne
Prairie Queen opened in the spring of 2015. The lake was made with a tremendous amount of habitat. The lake should develop into one of the better fishing lakes in the area. Live bait is not allowed.
Location: 4 and 1/2 miles West and 1/2 mile South of Tekamah, NE
One of the best all-around multi-species fishing lakes in the area. We typically catch bass, bluegill and crappie in great numbers with some very good sized fish in the mix. Occasionally we will bump into a quality walleye or catfish.
Walnut Creek Lake
Location: 96th St and Highway 370 Papillion, NE
Walnut Creek is a nice little reservoir with a lot of crappies, bluegills, bass and a few quality redear sunfish. A very good smaller reservoir in the metro area. Overall one of the better quality lakes in the metro.
Location: 156th St and Giles Rd Omaha, NE
Wehrspann is a good lake in the Omaha Metro. We typically catch many small crappie and bluegill along with some nice walleye and catfish. With the recent, unfortunate introduction of gizzard shad, the overall size structure has diminished.
Location: 1 mile west and 1 and 1/2 miles North of Agnew, NE
Wildwood is a heavily timbered lake and is currently one of the best fishing lakes in the area. Wildwood has been very productive for both numbers and quality of panfish along with some nice bass. Wildwood is a catch and release lake for catfish and has some very nice catfish in it. Live baitfish are not allowed in Wildwood
Location: 192nd and Dodge St Omaha, NE
Youngman is a small, metro area reservoir with an over abundance of small bass and some quality panfish. The lake can be difficult at times because of the thick aquatic vegetation, but is a very good panfish lake when they migrate to the open water.
Location: 156th and F Street Omaha,NE
The fishing in Zorinsky has improved since the lake was drained for zebra mussels. Along with the usual bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish, Zorinsky is currently the best lake in the area for quantities of walleye. Muskie were also stocked in the lake.
We enjoy fishing all lakes. If you have questions about another lake in the area contact us.
