Welcome to DAB Fishing Guide Service!

We are a fishing guide service for Omaha and Eastern Nebraska area lakes.  Our guide service focuses on having an enjoyable day full of catching fish while learning the secrets to catching them. We cater to anyone from the pure beginner to the extremely advanced fisherman.  We fish the lakes of Eastern Nebraska for crappies, largemouth bass, and bluegills.  Occasionally we catch walleyes, catfish and any other species that bites!

Listing of lakes we most often fish:

Czechland Lake
Location: 1 mile North and 1/4 mile West of Prague, NE
We have found that Czechland is an excellent lake.  We have been very successful catching crappies, bass and bluegill, especially crappies in good numbers and size.  Czechland has some excellent catfish too.

Desoto Bend
Location: 6 miles east of Blair,NE on Highway 30
We are not sure what to expect of fishing prospects in Desoto Bend because of the extreme flooding by the Missouri River in 2011.

Glenn Cunningham Lake
Location: 96th and State street Omaha, NE
Cunningham was recently redone.  Most fish are not of quality size yet.  I fished Cunnignham twice out of the boat in 2012.  I was impressed with the number of walleyes in the lake but the overall size was not there yet.

Lake Wanahoo
Location: 1/2 mile North of Wahoo, Ne
Wanahoo  opened in 2012.  Wanahoo is proving to be an outstanding fishery.  Excellent in quality and quantity although it is not always easy to get to the fish because of the thick timber.  Live bait is not allowed on this lake and there is a 21 inch minimum size limit on the bass which we think will help maintain its status as an outstanding fishery for years to come.

Standing Bear Lake
Location: 132nd and Military Omaha, NE
We don't fish Standing Bear that often because we find the size structure of the fish to be smaller most years than other lakes.  Occasionally Standing Bear has a good cycle of quality fish and we will fish it more often.

Summit Lake
Location: 4 and 1/2 miles West and 1/2 mile South of Tekamah, NE
One of the best all-around multi-species fishing lakes in the area.  We catch bass, bluegill and crappie in great numbers with overall good size especially for bluegill.  Occasionally we will bump into moderate numbers of quality walleyes or catfish.

Walnut Creek Lake
Location: 96th St and Highway 370 Papillion, NE
Walnut Creek is a nice little reservoir with a lot of crappies, bluegills, bass and a few quality redear sunfish.

Wehrspann Lake
Location: 156th St and Giles Rd Omaha, NE
Wehrspann is currently the best lake in the Omaha Metro.  We have found this to be an excellent lake for panfish.  It is easy to target the crappies here.  Although the size is not always big we usually catch lots of fish with some nice keeper fish in the mix.  Much of the time we pick up some good walleye and catfish while panfishing.  A great area lake for children and adults where you can catch a lot of fish and have a good chance to catch some big fish in the process.

Wildwood Lake
Location: 1 mile west and 1 and 1/2 miles North of Agnew, NE
Wildwood is a heavily timbered lake that is better suited to experienced fishermen or someone who wants to learn more advanced fishing techniques.  We catch some of our largest bass in the area out of Wildwood along with good numbers of panfish.  Wildwood is also a high quality catfish lake.  For the person that likes catching big channel cats in the area, Wildwood is a great lake.  Live baitfish are not allowed in Wildwood.

Zorinsky Lake
Location:  156th and F Street Omaha,NE
Zorinsky was recently drained to rid the lake of Zebra Mussels.  Zorinsky probably needs at least until 2014 to have a decent population of quality sized fish.

We  enjoy fishing all lakes.  If you have questions about another lake in the area contact us.
